The Yucatán Peninsula separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean Sea. In Cancun, hotels, restaurants, malls, and nightclubs line either side of Boulevard Kukulkan, known as the Hotel Zone, which runs down the middle of the 15-mile-long sandbar. This is where you’ll find many of the city’s all-inclusive hotels catering to families on vacation or couples on their honeymoon and everything in between.

The Riviera Maya is a stretch of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its numerous all-inclusive resorts, such as those in the town of Playa del Carmen, and its long beaches. To the south, Tulum is home to yoga retreats and the preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city, perched on an outcrop above a white-sand beach.

Just 35 minutes north of Cancun International Airport lies Playa Mujeres, a secluded golf & marina destination, located on the continental coast of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. This is a newer, less discovered area for all inclusive and luxury brands.
