Huatulco is positioned about 270 miles south of Acapulco on Mexico’s Pacific coastline, and home to a series of nine bays and 36 gorgeous beaches. Most of the hotels lie along the bay of Bahía Tangolunda, where the water varies from cobalt blue to emerald green. In addition, the resorts in Huatulco have been built farther apart than other destinations, and none are taller than six stories, allowing for beautiful views and a feeling of being more connected with nature.
To the northwest of Huatulco is Puerto Escondido, a charming fishing village and port town that has transcended into an area recognized around the world by professional surfers. In addition to the beloved surfing beaches, there are also several beautiful and tranquil beaches, perfect for sunbathing.
